Welcome
to the Indiana Association of State and County Office Employee’s (IASCOE) membership web page. If you do not know me,
my name is Christopher Hare, I am the County Executive Director in Fountain County. I have recently taken the role of Membership
chair for IASCOE. Our current membership stands at 75%.
As membership chair, I would like to extend
a warm welcome to join this great organization. Many of you have reviewed the 'mock' CCC-770IASCOE form. I think Jacob
did a great job at putting this together. If you haven’t seen this, please email me and I can send you a copy of it.
Look at all the great things IASCOE/NASCOE has done for us. While much has been accomplished, we need the direction and support
from as many employees with many different ideas and perspectives to continue the improvement of employee rights and benefits.
We also believe in working closely with Agency management and offer help in improvement of program delivery.
This
year we are starting something new for all current non-members. All new members who join from June 1, 2008 through August
1, 2008, will be entered into a chance to win a $100.00 gift card. After August 1, we will put all names into a bowl and pull
the prize winners name.
NOTE: current members can not cancel their membership and re-enroll for this prize.
If this interests your participation, please submit the FSA-444 immediately to the STO. Pay period13 is
the first pay period of our fiscal year. CED’s / COT’s dues are $4.00. PT’s dues are $2.50. Don’t
forget, if you go direct deposit you are getting a year's fee free!
Are you a temporary appointment, or State Office Employee? Associate members dues are $25.00 and need to be paid
to Amy Allen.
I
am a strong supporter of IASCOE and all the great things it does for us. One benefit I personally get from being a member
is attending National Conventions and seeing other states I have not had the opportunity to visit. Another benefit I feel
is I am making contacts with people across the country who deal with the same issues I do on a daily basis. That includes
people who work in Washington D.C.!
Any
questions, feel free to email me.
Thanks again,
Christopher Hare
